Chill Factore will provide qualified staff to ensure the taster session is inclusive, safe and fun for everybody involved!
British Blind Sport’s Have a Go days have helped over 900 people living with sight loss across the UK to become more active and discover new sports which they can get involved in. This event will allow adults and children to experience an introductory skiing lesson (snowboarding lessons are subject to availability of staff), and have a go at a new and exciting activity.
The snow sports taster session will take place Friday December 13th from 6pm – 8pm at Chill Factore, Manchester, M41 7JA. This fun opportunity is open to all abilities and to anyone over the age of 5, and will cost £10 per participant to attend. A ‘meet and greet’ will be available from Intu Trafford Centre Bus Station, at least 30 minutes before.
A participant who attended a previous BBS snow sports taster session said, “I did ski-ing which was really fun as I have never skied before. I felt panicky at first but the instructor assured me I was safe and after that I really enjoyed it and so did my sister!”
Another participant said,
“We have had a super time. Thank you so much for making it possible!”
British Blind Sport, where possible, will always try to include accompanying family and friends within these events and Chill Factore’s snow park will be available to use during this event, at a cost.
British Blind Sport are extremely grateful to The Worshipful Company of Grocers for supporting us to deliver this event and assisting in our continued work towards ensuring that people with visual impairments are not limited in their choice of physical activity.
