Help us create better resources for DPOs

This update details our latest DPO project, and how you can get involved.

Reading Level: Medium
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Through delivering the Together Fund, we have received increasing feedback from organisations that we support that they are struggling to sustain themselves in the wake of Covid and the current cost of living crisis, making it more difficult for them to support their users.

To combat this issue, we are creating an online support hub which for Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) to become more resilient so they can more easily sustain themselves in the wake of Covid and the current Cost of Living Crisis. If DPOs are in a better position to sustain themselves financially and retain staff/volunteers, then they will be in a much stronger position to deliver other activities, such as physical activity, which is an essential element to Disabled people’s physical and mental well-being.

The DPO support hub will provide online resources on governance, finance, strategy, monitoring & evaluation, bid writing and recruiting/retaining volunteers. We would appreciate it if you could take two minutes to answer our short survey to help us determine whether such resource topics would be beneficial to your organisation.

We are running engagement sessions

In addition to the online survey, we are holding two engagement sessions for DPOs to join us to help us determine how the resources within the online hub should be displayed to ensure that these resources are easy to locate and use.

We will be holding two separate sessions online via Zoom, which will be the same. One on Tuesday 31st January, 2-3 pm and the other on Friday 3rd February, 2-3 pm. The sessions will consist of a 20min presentation of our two proposed design layouts and then a 40min open floor where people can share their thoughts and ask questions. If you could attend ONE of the sessions, that would be most helpful for the hub’s development.

We are happy to make a payment to your organisation for its participation.

To attend, please click on ONE of the registration links below. Once registered, you will automatically be sent an email with the joining details for the meeting. If you have any accessibility requirements, please call Elliot on 0203 687 0771 or email him at
