New Every Mind Matters campaign to support mental health during the Covid-19 outbreak

Public Health England have launched a campaign to encourage adults to take steps to look after their mental health during this difficult time, using Every Mind Matters and its self-care resources. The campaign will be targeted at all adults, weighted towards those most at risk of mental health problems and more vulnerable groups. Some of their tips include looking after your physical health by eating well and exercising, which emphasises the importance of staying active to help with mental health.

Every Mind Matters (EMM) launched last October, aiming to empower people to look after their mental health. To date, over 1.9 million ‘Mind Plans’ have been completed, giving people simple steps to take to improve their mental health. The EMM platform has now been updated to incorporate the new Covid-19 mental health guidance and provide content to help people look after their mental and physical health while staying at home. This includes further updates to the ‘Mind Plan’, which sits at the heart of the website, as well as additional tips and advice for individuals and for parents who are concerned about their children. PHE will continue to update and increase this content and signpost users to further helpful information and resources.

The resources are available on the Every Mind Matters website and include tips if you’re worried about Coronavirus, information around looking after children and also tips for working from home.
