We’re Hiring: Partnerships and Communications Officer at Get Yourself Active

We are recruiting for a Partnerships and Communications Officer to support our Get Yourself Active programme.

You will be joining a highly successful team that has been working with Disabled people for the last five years to change attitudes, perceptions and practices around physical activity and wellbeing. You will be a motivated person and able to work collectively, as well as work on initiative, to create effective and dynamic engagement and communications approaches to share impact with key audiences, stakeholders and partners.

The post will be working primarily with grassroots partners at a local level to create solutions to health and wellbeing inequalities faced by Disabled people. With a focus on physical activity as a key driver to the wider determinants of wellbeing you will lead on communicating impact and building partnerships through projects aligned with the DR UK flagship programme Get Yourself Active, funded by Sport England.

We are looking for someone determined to make a change to the way Disabled people access physical activity with a willingness to learn from and engage with partners in social care, health and particularly with Disabled People’s User Led Organisations (DPULOs). This is a full-time post with a salary range of £28 – 33k. We have a flexible working policy and our offices are based on the Olympic Park near Stratford and are fully accessible.
