The FA University Women’s Leadership programme focuses on empowering female leaders in universities to be the change they want to see in the women’s game.
Working with the Football Association (FA), the programme aims to unlock the potential of a diverse cohort of female students aspiring to work in the Women & Girls’ game, to help them become competitive when entering the job market.
What does the programme involve?
The programme aims to bridge the gap between who the students are, and what they are capable of. Students will have the opportunity to develop their skills, behaviours, confidence, and professional network. They will be supported in defining their career goals and ambitions by exploring and understanding the diverse opportunities that exist in the women’s game.
The specifics:
The selected participants will have three multi-day & one single day touch points across a twelve-month period, including a minimum of two residential stays, featuring networking dinners – a fantastic opportunity for them to begin building their professional network.
They’ll hear from inspirational guest speakers from across the footballing landscape – previous guests include Baroness Sue Campbell, Director of Women’s Football at the FA.
They’ll meet role models for jobs they could have in the next 2-3 years.
